Anu Gupta is a senior communications practitioner with over 25 years of experience across India,  Dubai, Singapore and Indonesia. She founded Watermelon PR in Dubai, UAE, in 2003 and later joined APRW as a Director. She worked actively in the tech and startup sector in Singapore which led her to spearhead the agency’s first overseas expansion into Indonesia with the support of Enterprise Singapore. Anu has also played an active role in strengthening APRW’s international connectivity through IPREX, a global network of independent communications agencies. For five years, she drove APRW’s engagement with the network and represented the Asia-Pacific region on the IPREX Global Board from 2024 to 2026.

Today, Anu leads APRW’s cross-border communications work between Singapore and Indonesia, having built the agency’s Indonesian operations around organisations that see the two markets as integral to their growth strategies. She has advised clients across technology, education, financial services, hospitality and business events, helping them navigate market entry, reputation, stakeholder engagement and communications across both markets.

Some of the notable campaigns she has led include the launch of PT SMU Indonesia in 2026; NUS Business School’s communications and marketing initiatives in Indonesia from 2023 to 2026; publicity for Singapore-based technology firm RedDoorz for a decade, Tech in Asia Conference Jakarta from 2023 to 2025; and SPH’s Asia Economic Summit in Jakarta in 2025 and 2026.

Anu also works closely with Indonesian businesses seeking to expand beyond their home market. She advises founders and leadership teams on communications and positioning, particularly on how Singapore can serve as a strategic launchpad for building credibility, partnerships and visibility before pursuing wider regional or global growth.

Dividing her time equally between Singapore and Indonesia, Anu brings a deep understanding of the business cultures, media landscapes and stakeholder environments of both markets. She serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce Indonesia (SingCham), where she contributes her time to strengthening Singapore–Indonesia business ties and supporting Singapore companies seeking to establish and grow their presence in Indonesia.
